Cultivator

A cultivator is a farm implement used for secondary tillage. It is designed to loosen and aerate the soil, remove weeds, and prepare a smooth seedbed for planting. Cultivators are also used after sowing to maintain soil health and control weeds between rows of crops.
Types

Trailed Cultivator
A trailed cultivator is attached to a tractor and pulled behind. It doesn't have its own wheels for mounting on the tractor, so it is supported by land wheels.

Mounted Cultivator (Tiller)
A mounted cultivator is attached directly to the tractor’s three-point linkage system. It lifts along with the tractor and is hydraulically operated.
